Milestones
The first year is an exciting time of change. From tiny newborn to wobbly toddler, your baby's appearance changes almost monthly. With a Milestones package, you can capture those memories by scheduling a newborn session, followed by portraits at 3, 6, and 9 months. Schedule them all at the newborn session and we'll waive the sitting fee for the 1 year portraits. Call us today to schedule your baby's first session.

Concert Photography
Mac Powell - Third Day at the Pavillion, Charlottesville VA
I was blessed to have a front stage pass for this concert a couple years ago - it was a lot of fun and I got some great shots. What most people probably don't realize is that photographers are only allowed to photograph for the first three songs and can't use any flash - you are totally at the mercy of the stage lights. But with some patience, and good technique, you can make some really cool shots.

Serendipity
One day last October, about a week before the general election, I was meeting a client on the lawn at the University of Virginia. As I walked in from the side opposite the Rotunda, I noticed a small gathering of people and I took the long way around to see what was going on. To my surprise, former Governor, Mark Warner, was giving a campaign speech. Since I was a few minutes early, I pulled out my camera and took a few shots. Sometimes you just get lucky. Warner went on to beat Jim Gilmore in the election and is now serving as Virginia's junior senator.
