Mr. D and I go way back - I've photographed him at 6 months, 9 months, 1 year, 18 months, 2 years, and now at 3. Happy Birthday Mr. D and thanks for being so much fun to photograph.

The Rabbits set the early pace in attempt to help three UVA runners break 4 minutes in the mile.
Stride for stride in the first turn, the rabbits help break the wind for the eventual leaders.
Just past the 800m mark, Emil Heineking, Virginia, lane 2, starts to make his move on the pace setting rabbit.
With 1200m complete, Heineking is followed by fellow Virginia runners Andrew Jesien and Sintayehu Taye. You can see from Heineking's expression that the last lap is going to be a tough one. With 300m to go, Heineking takes one last peek at the clock.
On the final lap, University of Virginia senior Andrew Jesien took the lead and finished in a remarkable 4:02:18, just two seconds shy of his desired time.
